All God's Children is a ministry at NRUMC that supports children with special needs in all
our children's ministry programs. Buddies work with children age 3 through grade 5 and are adults
or high school students who:
- Help a child adjust to the routine of a class or activity
- Provide one-on-one help for fine motor tasks, such as using scissors
- Encourage acceptance of the child by setting an example
- Pray for the child
- Help the teacher/leader supervise and monitor a class or activity
- Assist so the child can interact with both children and teacher in an independent manner
We also offer respite care every fourth Saturday
from 5-8 PM in the Education Building. The program is free, but parents do need to provide a bag supper
or snacks. To participate, please RSVP to Ruth Andrews.
