We offer adult Sunday School classes during
our 9:45 and 11:00 Sunday morning worship hours. Please feel free to
visit any or all of our classes.
Celebration (Choir Room)
- Explores various topics in an effort to discern scriptural truths and
strengthen our faith through understanding. It is an informal and
casual class which enjoys coffee and fellowship before starting at
10:00 AM. The class ends at 10:30 AM to allow choir members time to
robe and rehearse before 11:00 AM service.
Discovery - A 4-week class for new members and visitors who want to learn more
about North Raleigh United Methodist Church. Email Brian Gentle
or call 847-1536 for information or to sign up for the next session.
Fellowship (S-2) - Learns
about their faith in a discussion setting studying Scripture,
tradition, reason and life experiences that undergird our faith. They
pray together, take good care of each other, support worthy mission
projects, and enjoy each other’s company.
Good News Ambassadors
(Y-3) - Members take turns leading class discussions on Biblically
based topics and life applications. Come and enjoy the fellowship of an
enthusiastic group.
Goodwill (S-1) - You can
hear them worshiping the Lord by their songs of praise each Sunday
morning. They use the Cokesbury International Study Series and
participate wholeheartedly in many local missions. They are there for
each other whenever anyone has a need.
New Friendship (S-3) -
Lively interactive class discussion, fellowship and service projects
are featured in this class. Please visit this friendly class.
Seekers (Y-1) - Study
topics usually pertain to family and the books of the Bible. This group
earnestly seeks God’s guidance in personal and family
matters. Their outreach projects include the Cradle Roll, the Helen Wright
Center, VBS, and volunteering for many activities around the church.
They meet socially once a quarter for casual potlucks.
Sonrise (S-4) –
Fellowship, prayer & discussion are encouraged in this class as
they study various books of the Bible and people of the Bible. Their
missions are WIHN, Prison Ministries, Angel Tree Project and our youth
program. Occasional guest speakers bring new emphasis and vision to
their studies.
Stepping Stones (Y-2) - Our newest Sunday school class invites
you to join them as they build upon their faith, one step at a time! This young,
active group of adult Christians will discuss issues of life and faith, as well as
encourage Christian fellowship through socials.
