David Clift - Senior Pastor - David S. Clift was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and spent his childhood in Newport, Kentucky. He completed his undergraduate work at Union College in Kentucky and received his Master of Divinity degree from Duke University. David is also certified as a Human Behavior Consultant from the Leadership Institute of America. He has served as a Chaplain with the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Department, the Tarboro Police Department, the Southern Shores Police Department, and the with the NC State Alcohol Law Enforcement Agency. He has served churches in North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kinston, Tarboro, and Duck. He is married to Libby A. Clift a retired North Carolina Educator. They have two grown children, Mark (who lives in Kitty Hawk, NC) and Elizabeth (who lives in Durham, NC).
