Big Idea Youth Weekend
April 19-21
Big Idea is one of our biggest events of the year! Join us for an in town retreat full of mission projects and 4 worship sessions diving deeper in our faith. This retreat is for 6-12th grade youth and small group leaders. Youth are housed in Host Homes for the weekend and spend time in small groups, worship, mission, and recreation.

Socks and Undies 5K Rundie
Saturday April 27th at 9:30am

On April 27, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, we will host a family game night with S'mores by the fire. All families are invited! Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy an evening of fellowship and fun.

Scholarship Due Date
May 1
North Raleigh United Methodist Church offers five scholarships. All are available to church members and one is available for nonmembers if they are sponsored by a member. To apply for a scholarship, fill out the scholarship application and return it along with all requested materials to the church office. After the application is completed and returned to church office, the scholarship committee will determine the scholarship to which the application should be applied.

Farewell Reception for Pastor Ken

It is with joy and sadness that we celebrate Pastor Ken Klingborg as he leaves North Raleigh to take a pastor position at Chapman Quarries UMC in Chapman, PA. Immediately following the 11am service, there will be cake and punch in the fellowship hall. You can also share cards of thanks to him at that time or join in a Love Offering by designating your check or online gift as "Love Offering - Pastor Ken." Come join us as we celebrate Ken's next journey in serving God.

Piano Dedication Concert & Reception

We will be celebrating our new piano with a concert by Hye Jin Park and then a light reception immediately following.

General Conference Debriefing

The General Conference of the UMC will be meeting in Charlotte April 23-May 3. Your clergy are committed to being sure everyone at NRUMC is informed about General Conference, any decisions that are made, and any ways it can or will impact NRUMC.
To help keep communication channels open, we will have a gathering after to discuss next steps as we seek to live into God's preferred future for NRUMC.
We will keep the congregation updated at nrumc.org/generalconference. Please RSVP to help us plan.

Habitat Wake's Home Preservation Program works with homeowners in our community to complete exterior renovation projects with homeowners who are physically unable or cannot afford to complete the work on their home. The scope of work varies but may include tasks such as, building decks/ramps, repairing siding and painting.

Summer Youth Mission Trip
July 7-12, 2024
Come join us for a life changing week of home repair work and relational ministry in the mountains! We'll spend our days on work teams completing home repairs and in the evenings we will participate in camp activities like swimming in the lake, culture night and staff-led worship together.
